Chaska MN Homes for Sale

Chaska, Minnesota has been called everything from “backwater” and “blue collar” suburb (Forbes Magazine 2005) to “the 8th best place to live.” (Money Magazine 2007) Those of you who already own homes in Chaska know that the later accolade is the apt one. The quality of life that Chaska affords has a good reputation that precedes it; there is an award winning school system, top-notch municipal services, and plenty of parks. The countryside setting replete with trees, hills, wildlife and water belies the fact that this city enjoys a location just minutes from downtown Minneapolis, the Mall of America, and the MSP airport. Is this really a “backwater” suburb? Hardly. This town began as a “clay hole” but now claims a vibrant diverse economy that is home to everything from high tech electronics developers to light industry.
Chaska, MN homes are a top pick for families who want school district that is serious about maintaining high academic standards of excellence. The Chaska school district (ISD 112) boasts scores above the statewide average for all grade levels, as proven by Minnesota Comprehensive Assessment II (MCA II) testing.
The Chaska Real Estate Market
Typically, there are about ten dozen or so single family Chaska MN homes for sale at any given time, with an average list price in the upper 300’s, although this number is a bit skewed by high-end, multi-million dollar homes for sale in luxury neighborhoods like Wetzel Woods. However, there are plenty of nice neighborhoods that contain Chaska MN homes that are more realistically priced for must of us, including Liberty Heights, Jonathan, and Heather Ridge. There is a nice mixture of new construction in Chaska, and townhomes provide a convenient and affordable option for home buyers.
